Muisti for Claude
Muisti is a spaced-repetition flashcard app built on Anki's engine (SM-2/FSRS, .apkg files, Anki search syntax). The Muisti connector lets Claude work with the cards in your Muisti account: write new cards, search and edit existing ones, and look at your study statistics.
Requirements
- A Muisti account. Sign up with email or Google at app.muisti.de.
- Claude on the web, desktop or mobile.
Connect
- In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and add Muisti, or add a custom connector with the URL https://app.muisti.de/mcp.
- Click Connect, sign in to Muisti and approve access.
- To disconnect, remove the connector in Claude. Your cards stay in Muisti.
What Claude can do
Create cards
add_notes adds basic, cloze or other note types in bulk, with HTML and LaTeX formulas. add_media stores an image or audio file for a card. list_note_types shows the available note types and their fields. create_deck and rename_deck manage decks.
Cards Claude creates go to an inbox and stay suspended until you accept, edit or discard them in Muisti. list_inbox lists them. You can turn the inbox off in Muisti's settings.
Find and edit
search_cards (full Anki search syntax), get_note, update_note, delete_notes, suspend_cards, reset_cards, card_info.
Study insights
list_decks and collection_stats show what is due. review_statistics covers reviews, forecast, intervals and retention. difficult_cards lists cards you keep forgetting, and weak_spots shows retention per deck and tag. exam_plan shows the new cards per day needed for the exam dates you set. create_filtered_deck gathers cards into a temporary deck for cramming.

Data and privacy
The connector only reads and writes the cards of the signed-in account. Each account sees only its own data. Claude's requests are processed only to run the tool that was called, and Muisti does not store your conversations. Details are in the privacy policy (German).
Desktop app
The Muisti desktop app for macOS and Windows has its own local connector, which also reads the card you are studying right now and imports or exports files. Set it up under Settings → Connect Claude in the app.
